Welcome! Allow us to present the Na Bolom Cultural Association, a new concept of non-profit Hotel, Museum and Restaurant.
The Na Bolom Cultural Association was founded in 1951 by the Danish Archaeologist Frans Blom, one of the greatest explorers of the ancient Maya territory and Gertrude (Trudy) Duby Blom, Swiss photographer.

The Na Bolom Hotel has 16 rooms with:
RATES: Our rates range from $50 to $110 USD depending on the season and the kind of room
The House, built in 1891 and originally destine to be bequeathed to the church as a seminary, is now listed in the register of historical buildings of San Cristobal.
Today Na Bolom is a Hotel, Restaurant, Shop, Library, Museum and Contact Centre for the Indigenous communities of the Lacandon Jungle
TOURS TO THE INDIAN COMMUNITIES:
If you are interested in any TOURS to the surrounding areas, we offer tours to the Totzil villages of Zinacantan and San Juan Chamula and many other tours all over the state. Na Bolom s speciality is Contact Tours of 5 days to the Lacandon Indian communities in the Jungle. Our 50 years of friendship with these communities allow us to make the more intimate tours
OUR MISSION:
In contrast to other Hotels and restaurants, the profit from the Hotel, museum, restaurant and shop are not only used for the maintenance of the building but also to support our non profit Conservation and cultural projects, such as our Reforestation Project, workshops within the Lacandon communities and perhaps the most important of all- The Lacandon Medical Foundation.
The Lacandon medical Foundation offers free medical attention and assistance to the Lacandon people. Today there are very few pure blooded Lacandons and their culture is in danger of extinction. Here at Na Bolom our health and social specialist takes care of any problems the Lacandons may have, accompanying them to the clinic and helping to explain to them how to administer the medication they are given. This is the largest of all our projects and the most economically draining. We also offer free accomodation and food to the people from the Lacandon Jungle communities when they come to San Cristobal for medical attention or to sell their artisans.
