Caribe in Playa del Carmen is perfectly located on Fifth Avenue just
one block from the beach. If you are coming to the Mayan Riviera and
want to relax in a casual hotel that is close to everything but in its
own world, then Hotel Jungla Caribe is the place! The eclectic decor
is the result of years of creative infusion from our owner, Rolf
Albrecht, who built Hotel Jungla Caribe when the streets of Playa had

Our hotel has 24 spacious rooms which look out either to the beach,
Fifth Avenue or our beautiful jungle garden in the inner courtyard.
Downstairs is our famous Jaguar Restaurant, where you can either dine
in the jungle courtyard for intimate privacy or in the café section on
Fifth Avenue where the people-watching is superb.

The Famous Jaguar Restaurant

The menu at the Jaguar Restaurant features both International cuisine
and Italian specialties. We serve delicious h'ors d'oeuvres, homemade
pasta, fresh seafood, fine cuts of meat and exquisite desserts. We
have a generous selection of both national and international wines and
a full bar.
You can dine either overlooking Fifth Avenue where you can see and be
seen by the many people who visit Playa del Carmen from around the
world. Or share an intimate candlelight dinner inside the restaurant
or in our interior patio, surrounded by tropical plants.
If you are planning a special event, be sure to ask us about
reservations for groups, weddings or other special evenings. Jaguar

Our Spacious Rooms

We haven't seen all the rooms in Playa, but we are pretty
sure our 24 rooms are some of the most spacious you can find for such
a reasonable price. They are all tiled in black & white marble and
they each have a roomy bathroom, big showers and a balcony. Every room
is also air-conditioned and has at least one ceiling fan.
Some of our rooms are suites, too. And they not only have
two queen sized beds, but a corner sitting area with couches,
a lamp and coffee table, some cool 80's artwork that Rolf
has been collecting for years, and chairs for your guests.

We also have three apartments for rent, 2 blocks west and also on
Calle 8. All apartments have maid service, air conditioning and cable
